PALM APARTMENT
THE CONCEPT
Warmth, privacy, and ease. Composed through material rather than volume.
Conceived for a longstanding client within one of the original Shoreline buildings on Palm Jumeirah, this 130-square-metre apartment was transformed into a refined private vacation home. The brief was clear: warmth, privacy, and ease, all within a modest footprint. The renovation was comprehensive, allowing for a clean structural reset in which every surface was reconsidered from the ground up.
Limewash walls and ceilings establish a soft mineral quality throughout, while continuous hardwood floors anchor the space with depth and warmth. Spatial transitions are handled through light architectural gestures, Rimadesio glass doors divide zones without interrupting the flow of light or line. Hand-painted Fromental wallpaper brings subtle texture and intimacy to the dining room and primary bedroom, and custom joinery by Artwood reinforces a commitment to craft and permanence. Key pieces from Cassina, Poltrona Frau, CC-Tapis, Molteni, and Bocci complete the composition. Considered without being conspicuous.
